You know what really grinds my gears???
These are a few things that are seen all too frequently on not only cadets, but active duty folks as well. Knowledge is power, my friends, and with this knowledge we will STOP these misdeeds from occurring, because you know what? They really do grind my gears.
Messed up gig linesNOTHING in this gig line is lined up at all and there is belt showing between the tab and the buckle.

Hands in pocketsWe are in Southern California. There is no reason to put your hands in your pockets.
These are all appropriate things to do with your hands, rather than putting them in your pockets. Remember, it's as fun to stand with your hands in your pockets as it is to do flutter kicks with them in your pockets! Or so I've heard...

Wearing an 8-point like a baseball cap
These are military covers, not baseball caps.
Bottom parallel to the deck and two fingers above the eyebrows.
|
Blousing your boots in the wrong spot
Down around the ankles or above the boot and looking like a soup sandwich.
Between the 1st and 2nd eyelets for CUUs and 2nd and 3rd for NWUs.
|
Un-aerodynamic pockets
Would you like to find out how many rocks we can stuff in there?
Ahhh, nice and buttoned up.
|
Soup-sandwich sleeves
Overall, just a hot steaming mess of garbage.
Notice how they are TIGHT and wrinkle free? If you roll them tight enough, you will be able to smooth the wrinkles out once you put the blouse on. And no, complete loss of circulation is not necessary.
